Our Direct Care Professionals provide hands-on care to individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities assisting with activities of daily living, personal care, meal preparation and community outings.

Other responsibilities include: • Provide individualized attention, which encourages each individual’s ability to maintain the highest practical physical, mental, and psychosocial well being.  • Maintain the comfort, privacy, and dignity of each individual in the delivery of services to them.  • Interact with individuals in a manner that displays warmth and promotes a caring environment.  • Provide medical assistance such as administering medication, First Aid and CPR as trained by the agency. • Maintain a home-like environment in the Group Home by assisting with housekeeping, laundry and grocery shopping. • Accurately completes all in-house documentation and reports of individuals progress

Available Shifts: 2nd Shift: Sundays 9am-11pm, Monday-Wednesday 2:30-11pm or Wednesday through Friday 2:30pm – 11pm, Saturday’s 9am – 11pm. Overnight awake and asleep positions also available

Requirements: •High school diploma or equivalent •Valid driver’s license with a 3-year clear driving record.  •Experience with care giving, preferred. Physical Requirements: Ability to perform the physical duties required of Direct Care Worker. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in providing various care; and operate an vehicle.

The employee must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds and occasionally must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, including transferring of client.
